Dark brown color, with the appearance of two horns.

Adults Description

Distinguished from all other similar species by the white band on the forewing running from costa, across the cell, to the hindwing inner margin.

Habits Description

Occurs from sea level to 900 m on the Pacific slope, in deciduous forest habitats, and is commonest in the lowlands of Guanacaste. Both sexes visit flowers of Cordia and Croton, and feed on rotting fruits.
