Adults Description

Immediately distinguished by the broad black hindwing margin and discal bar.

Habits Description

Occurs infrequently from sea level to 1,200 m in open areas throughout Costa Rica. On the wing, this species can be confused with Danaus, and both visit Asclepias flowers.
