Pupa Description

Pale green with a yellow wash on abdomen and wings.

Adults Description

Sexes dimorphic. Both sexes can be distinguished from all other Parides by a pink fringe on the hindwing.

Habits Description

Occurs from sea level to 1,400 m on both Pacific and Atlantic slopes of Costa Rica in association with all forest habitats. Both sexes fly along forest edges, hedgerows in open areas, or in the forest, and visit a wide variety of flowers.
